New White Paper Highlights Necessity of Daily Defragmentation

East Grinstead, West Sussex April 19, 2005--Executive Software® European branch has announced the release of a new white paper which shows that daily defragmentation is becoming more and more critical in the enterprise. New technology and decreasing costs have brought about an explosion in the size of corporate disk volumes. The white paper found that the increasing sizes of these volumes and the files that users store on them has made fragmentation more of a problem than ever.

Many enterprise IT departments rely on the manual defragmenter as a stop-gap for severe system problems, but using a manual solution to defragment every workstation, laptop and server on a daily basis is a logistical impossibility. The only workable solution for this critical task is an automatic defragmenter.

The white paper finds that using Diskeeper® to automatically defragment on a daily basis handles the performance, reliability, and stability problems caused by fragmentation. The complete white paper is available immediately at: daily_defrag_whitepaper.pdf
